Delicate tale by Wiener Creation

Hello Darlings :)

Finally I got all the pics from delicate photosession with lovely Mirna Vukres Photography.

I really love the pics and style. I did collaboration with Austrian brand Goldstuck and Wiener Creation. Weiner Creation is brand established in 2012 by dear Antonia Gruber. Inspiration for their creations are retro era from 30's to 60's and divas like Rita Hayworth, Elizabeth Taylor and Jayne Mansfield. Quality of the products and fabrics are at the high level and all clothes are made in EU.

I have chosen something very feminine and very pastel. For one set am wearing peach/pink Lace Dress and gold gliter, peep toe heels by PinUp Couture brand and for another set I am wearing lovely pink Sally top and plaid candy skirt with pink low wedges. I got them in Paris in Aldo shop.

I also used my favourite Orient Round Purse by Banned, from Miss Poppywear rockabilly, retro webshop. Fan is from vintage flea market :)

glitter TV broch is by Glitter Paradise.

Pointed heels, pointed bra

Hello Darlings!

A few days ago I had a new photosession with Igor Dugandzic for www.rockabilly-clothing.de ( a fantastic online shop with retro and rockabilly/rockabella clothing) with HQ ArsVivendi’s fully fashioned nylon stockings and What Katte Did lingerie.

Fully fashioned stockings, as almost all vintage fans know, are stockings which are knitted flat and then the two sides are sewn together, forming the iconic seam.

I love fully fashioned nylons because they are perfect for summer nights when classic nylons seems to be too much, and that famous seam just gives the whole outfit an extra something!

I am also wearing my new What Kattie Did vintage styled black "Maitresse" lingerie set (suspender belt and knickers) and "Harlow" padded bullet bra. What Katie Did was founded 1999 by Katie Thomas and today is one of the world's leading brand of faux vintage lingerie, specialising in recreating silver screen glamour of the '40s and '50s.

I love the What Kattie Did brand, especially their vintage line. Their bullet bras and girdles just make me swoon!
No vintage wardrobe would not be complete without a glamorous bullet bra.

I love to wear my bullet bra under sheer vintage dresses and blouses. It gives a special touch of elegance to all vintage styles. It looks great under clothes and on its own too. Wouldn’t you agree?

The bullet bra has interesting history; let me tell you someting about it: It was by far the most popular bra style in the 1940s and 1950s, and achieved the height of its popularity in the 1950s, when it was the go-to item for creating the perfect sweater-girl silhouette.

Hollywood fashion and glamour influenced women's fashion choices, and bras like the cone-shaped, spiral-stitched bullet bra were made famous by actresses like Patti Page, Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, Lana Turner.

I am also wearing pointed Pleaser Devious Pumps and a chiffon robe (I found it at a small vintage shop for 10 Euros, is that a bargain or what?!). I like to call them my Bettie shoes because Bettie Page popularized them.

So go get yourself a bullet bra and devious pumps and be a Bettie at least for a day! XOXO

"Royal Palm" sarong dress

Hello darlings,

In today's post I proudly present you my collaboration with one of the best vintage brands in Europe - Vivien of Holloway.

I've always been a big fan of their creations, especially 40's style dresses . I just fell in love with their sarong dresses with wrap skirts and matching boleros, that are perfect for my "hourglass" body figure. I also adore tropical and tiki prints/style but here in Croatia you have to dig for dress/fabric of this sample.

(sarong/wrap skirts)

All Vivien of Holloway floral sarongs are inspired by 1940's starlet Dorothy Lamour, who starred in a number of South Pacific-themed films and musicals back in the Golden Era.

Accessories are style essence so I am wearing blue "Royal Palm" dress with amber jewelry set, red sandals ( hick heel, Carmen Miranda style) and RockRockabilly hair orchids.

Who is Vivien of Holloway?

(left: Vivien Wilson, Designer And Owner, Vivien Of Holloway)

A life-long Fifties lifestyle and fashion enthusiast, Vivien began sewing vintage-style clothes for herself at a mere ten years old. At eighteen, she opened her first shop in the world famous but now sadly gone Kensington Market, selling her hand-made 50s reproductions to fellow followers of 50's fashions. Many satisfied customers later, we can fast forward... oh, a couple of years to 2000, when the Vivien of Holloway brand was born, and Vivien's signature Fifties style soon took the world by storm.

Our focus has always been on producing beautiful dresses and separates with all the look and the charm of authentic vintage, but in a range of sizes to fit and flatter modern figures and ease of care to suit modern lifestyles.

With period perfect fabrics and cuts only slightly adapted from genuine vintage styles, in Vivien of Holloway you can be transformed into a cheesecake pin-up, a femme fatale, a saucy Mad Men-era office girl, or a WWII working girl – the choice is yours! All our clothes are proudly made in the UK and are loved by well-dressed women (and men!) across the globe; from rockabilly gals and swing dancers, to re-enactors and even celebrities! As well as producing gorgeous vintage-style clothing, we also pride ourselves on good old-fashioned customer service. For us, it's not just about looking the part, it's about the whole lifestyle. We're just trying to make the world a more fabulous and glamorous place, day by day.
